complicate with your presence
with a single ring of the phone, silence
begging, taunt
and you shall prevail

unwilling before today
unsure before skins touched
afraid that the fire might burn
saying now, scorch

it is of no use to see you from afar
you consume
with each and every breath
you dishearten the icy front

again, make that music
again, paint that picture
together succumb to flames
that ignite when hands hold

heed and come
listen to mumbles
even as you lie still and embrace
complicate more.
